Hot in 2010
What’s going to be hot in wedding fashion in 2010 I hear you ask………
OK so maybe your not asking but I’m going to write about it anyway.
While I was hopping from one wedding site to another doing my research on what I would like for my wedding, looking at bits and pieces to go with my dress and looking for centerpiece ideas I have found that there are a few thing that the “experts” in weddings say is going to be hot in 2010.
- Cupcake Wedding Cakes- Cupcake wedding cakes are everywhere at the moment and are getting even more popular. They are predicted to be a must have in 2010. I love this idea…. I wonder is it too much to have two wedding cakes……. something to think about!
- Weddings at Home – We are in the middle of a recession and everyone seems to think that having a wedding at home is going to save them some money. Let me assure you that they are in no way cheaper but they are in every way a more relaxed and enjoyable day. It will however save your guests some money on travel expenses and overnight stays as they can either walk home at 5am or just sleep on your mothers couch!
- Homemade Favors – I am a huge fan of wedding favors for your guests. I love sitting down at the table of a wedding and finding a little treat. It is a good conversation starter for your guests who don’t know each other and also a nice way to thank your guests for coming and helping celebrate your happy day. Homemade favors are again a money saving tactic for 2010′s recession.
- Birdcage Veils – Yes, yes I know, the birdcage veils are coming up again….. well it seems that I’m right on trend with my taste in veils. I think they are elegant and something out of the norm. I have yet to attend a wedding and see the bride wear one.
- Mismatch Bridesmaid Dresses - I love this idea. You choose the colour and then your bridesmaids get to choose the style of dress that suits them. Super cute and everyones happy.
- One Shoulder Dresses – As far as I know one shoulder is all in this year…… maybe bridal wear takes a year or so to catch up???
- Bridal Jackets & Boleros – I am a big fan of bridal jacket, so flattering on a curvier lady who might like to cover her arms going up the aisle. It also gives you two looks for your day, you have your ceremony outfit and your party outfit.
